Scoping review
This scoping review mapped evidence across health, education, psychology, and social care, analysing 128 studies. Strong evidence supported communication tools, behavioural and skill-based approaches, structured routines, and carer training, with coaching proving more effective than information alone. Evidence also showed that psychoeducation, cognitive-behavioural approaches, mindfulness, and peer support can reduce carer stress and burden.
